How To Delete Bar Numbers [Video]

Posted on 18. May, 2011 by in How-To Videos, Quicktips

This super-quick video will show you how to delete bar (measure) numbers from your score, or change their frequency.  By default, bar numbers appear at the beginning of each system in your score, but you can have them appearing at an interval of your choosing (say, every 10 bars) or you can delete them altogether.

To make changes to bar numbers, go to Style > Edit General Style and click on Numbers in the list on the left-hand side.  Uncheck the Measures box to delete the numbers.  To alter the frequency, leave the box checked and enter a number into the Interval box.

Hello.  Today’s Quicktip is about deleting or changing the frequency of bar numbers.

By default, MuseScore places bar numbers at the beginning of each system, but sometimes you may want them to appear more frequently or to delete them altogether.

Go to Style > Edit General Style and choose Numbers in the left-hand side.

You can delete the bar numbers – or measure numbers – by unchecking this box here.

Alternatively, you can change the frequency of bar numbers by leaving that box checked, choosing Interval and changing the number in this box here.

Thanks for watching.  You can find more tips like this one at MuseScoretips.com
