Today I’m publicly launching the ebook I’ve been working on for the last few months – MuseScore: The Essential Beginner’s Guide which shows you how to publish, play and share your music
The ebook contains tutorials that walk you through the basics of creating your own sheet music using MuseScore. By working through step-by-step projects, you’ll learn how to set up your score, input notes, edit your music, play it back, transpose, turn your songs into MP3 files, discover how to format and layout your music and much more.
The ebook is ideal for songwriters, composers, arrangers, students and teachers who are new to MuseScore, new to notation software in general, or those that feel there might be gaps in their MuseScore knowledge.
Special Launch Price: 4 Days Only
MuseScore: The Essential Beginner’s Guide is usually $27 USD, but for the next 4 days only, you’ll be able to purchase it at the special launch price of $23 USD.

Katie,
Love the guide! Just started using MuseScore and this has been very useful. I wanted to know how and what template you used to create the ebook picture you have profiled here. I’m just looking to make something similar for a drum class I’m teaching. Thanks!

Hi Chris,
Thanks – good to hear it’s been useful! I think you’re referring to the 3D picture of the ebook? That was created with http://www.ecovercreator3d.com/
It’s very easy to use – it’s all online so there’s no Photoshop involved. Drawback is that there are limited choices about styles (ie. only one softcover option facing a particular way). There are lots of other 3D ebook creators but many involve Photoshop and a few more steps.
Hope that helps!
Katie
